Help me change a student's life and Reach One More

I am taking part in the University of Newcastle's Gifting Day as I believe everyone deserves access to higher education and the opportunities to succeed, regardless of their circumstances.

As a previous recipient of a Shaping Futures Scholarship, I understand firsthand how lifechangeing and impactful this can be. I want to pay forward the generosity others have shown me, and help change another student's life. 

Due to the rising cost of living, students who are already experiencing financial hardship and disadvantage are suffering even further, having to make difficult choices between paying for essentials like food, rent, medical treatment, and continuing their education. 

This is why I am fundraising to help provide Shaping Futures Scholarships for students experiencing financial hardship and disadvantage, and help Reach One More.

Thanks to the generosity of The MacDougall Foundation, every donation received in support of Gifting Day will be matched dollar for dollar, doubling the impact and helping more students access a Shaping Futures Scholarship.* 

Your support will help reach more students whose potential is greater than their circumstances. Every gift, no matter the size, will help provide life-changing support through a Shaping Futures Scholarship. 

These scholarships provide $5,000 to help students cover essential costs like accommodation, food, transport and study materials, giving them the stability to focus on their education and their future. 

A scholarship is more than just financial support however, it is a vote of confidence and lets the student know that someone believes in them, giving them renewed hope and inner strength to take on higher education and reach their full potential.

As part of the College of Health, Medicine & Wellbeing, your generosity will help Reach One More future allied health professional like me, who will go on to make a invaluable contribution to the community after their studies.

All donations of $2 or more are tax deductible, and thanks to the University of Newcastle covering all administration costs, 100% of your donation will directly support Shaping Futures Scholarships. 

*Donations to Shaping Futures Scholarships received in support of Gifting Day will be matched by The MacDougall Foundation and are capped at $150,000.
