Shaping Futures Scholarships
Timothy overcame many obstacles to get into the Joint Medical Program at the University of Newcastle. He experienced domestic violence as a child and became the father figure to his siblings and protective of his mother.
The stress of losing the family home and car made his high school years really hard, but Timothy persevered and made it to university. It was the start of his dream of becoming a doctor. But financial pressure means promising students like Timothy may be forced to abandon their studies.
