The College of Health, Medicine and Wellbeing is proud to be supporting this year's Gifting Day campaign to help more students access life changing Shaping Futures Scholarships.

Join the CHMW donations team and help us climb the leaderboard while creating life-changing opportunities for students facing financial hardship. 

Every donation, no matter the size, helps us reach one more student.

The Great HERB Bake Off
What: Bring a plate to share, and if it's homemade, you'll be in the running for Bake Off glory. 
All home-baked goods will go in the draw to win, but any treats are welcome for the morning tea - the more the merrier. 
Donations through the CHMW donation team are encouraged but not essential. Come along and join in the fun. 
When: 10am, Thursday 17 September
Where: Level 2 Staff Kitchen, HERB Building, Callaghan

CHMW Raffle
What: Donate to the CHMW Gifting Day fundraising page and you'll automatically go into the draw to win one of two gourmet hampers.
When: Winners will be drawn on Gifting Day, Wednesday 23 September

Guess the Lollies in the Jar 
What: Stop by the Bake Off and take your best guess at how many lollies are packed into the jar. The closest guess wins the entire jar to take home.
When: Thursday 17 September
Where: Level 2 Staff Kitchen, HERB Building, Callaghan

We are helping Reach One More student

We're taking part in the University of Newcastle's Gifting Day because we believe every student deserves the opportunity to succeed, regardless of their circumstances. 

Right now, rising living costs are forcing many students to make impossible choices between paying for essentials like food, rent and transport, and continuing their education. 

That's why we're fundraising to help provide Shaping Futures Scholarships for students experiencing financial hardship and disadvantage. 

Thanks to the generosity of The MacDougall Foundation, every donation received in support of Gifting Day will be matched dollar for dollar, doubling the impact and helping more students access a Shaping Futures Scholarship.* 

At the moment, there's only one Shaping Futures Scholarship available for every 13 student applications received, so the need has never been greater. 

Your support will help reach more students whose potential is greater than their circumstances. Every gift, no matter the size, will help provide life-changing support through a Shaping Futures Scholarship. 

These scholarships provide $5,000 to help students cover essential costs like accommodation, food, transport and study materials, giving them the stability to focus on their education and their future. 

But more than financial support, a scholarship tells a student that someone believes in them. It gives them confidence, hope and the opportunity to reach their full potential. 

Your generosity could help Reach One More future teacher, doctor, nurse, engineer, researcher or social worker who will go on to make a positive difference in our communities. 

All donations of $2 or more are tax deductible, and thanks to the University of Newcastle covering all administration costs, 100% of your donation will directly support Shaping Futures Scholarships. 

*Donations to Shaping Futures Scholarships received in support of Gifting Day will be matched by The MacDougall Foundation and are capped at $150,000.
