I am helping Reach One More student

The University of Newcastle changed the trajectory of my life. I'm taking part in the University of Newcastle's Gifting Day because I believe every student deserves the opportunity to succeed, regardless of their circumstances and I know the power of an education. 

Right now, rising living costs are forcing many students to make impossible choices between paying for essentials like food, rent and transport, and continuing their education. 

That's why I'm fundraising to help provide Shaping Futures Scholarships for students experiencing financial hardship and disadvantage. 

Thanks to the generosity of The MacDougall Foundation, every donation received in support of Gifting Day will be matched dollar for dollar, doubling the impact and helping more students access a Shaping Futures Scholarship.* 

At the moment, there's only one Shaping Futures Scholarship available for every 13 student applications received, so the need has never been greater. 

Your support will help reach more students whose potential is greater than their circumstances. Every gift, no matter the size, will help provide life-changing support through a Shaping Futures Scholarship. 

These scholarships provide $5,000 to help students cover essential costs like accommodation, food, transport and study materials, giving them the stability to focus on their education and their future. 

But more than financial support, a scholarship tells a student that someone believes in them. It gives them confidence, hope and the opportunity to reach their full potential.

All donations of $2 or more are tax deductible, and thanks to the University of Newcastle covering all administration costs, 100% of your donation will directly support Shaping Futures Scholarships. 

*Donations to Shaping Futures Scholarships received in support of Gifting Day will be matched by The MacDougall Foundation and are capped at $150,000.
