Shaping Futures Scholarships

Jake showed a talent for maths from a young age. He dreamed of going to university but growing up in a small rural town with a family who struggled financially, it seemed impossible.

Through hard work and determination, Jake was accepted at the University of Newcastle to study teaching, but financial stress nearly broke him. Too many promising students may never fulfill their potential because they can’t afford to complete their education.

*Donations to the Shaping Futures Scholarship Fund will be matched for this appeal and are capped at $60,000 (Generous anonymous donor: $50,000, University of Newcastle: $10,000).
